Dublin is the largest city and capital of Ireland, with approximately 1.2 million inhabitants. It is located near the middle of Ireland's east coast, at the mouth of the river Liffey. Dublin is also known as 'Baile Átha Cliath', Gaelic for the town of the hurdled ford. Dublin is one of Europe’s most youthful capitals, and also known for its vivid nightlife.

Dublin is divided by the river Liffey into two halves, with on the north side of the river the famous shopping streets O’Connell Street and Henry Street and the popular museums the Guinness Storehouse and the Old Jameson Distillery, which are worth a visit! On the south side of the river the famous parks St. Stephen's Green and Merrion Square are situated. Also the well known University of Dublin, Trinity College, is located there.
